Winona-Ryder

Winona Ryder - Winona Lauro Horowitz - was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named their daughter in honor of her hometown. Michel Horowitz is her father and Cynthia Palmer is her mother. Ryder is a self-described Jewish has a connection to Ryder's Jewish father. She also has a half-sister, Sunyata Jubal. Her older brother is Uria. In the year Ryder was just seven years old, her family moved into Mendocino County California. The family lived in a place without electricity. Television books were the only way for Ryder to pass the time. Eventually, she was a voracious reader. Ryder took acting classes at the age of Ryder was 12, at the American Conservatory Theatre. She landed her debut role on the big screen in 1986, at the age of 15 older. Ryder had to deal with bullying throughout her high school years. She hoped acting could bring change. However, the plan didn't pan out. The actress continued to chase her dreams. In 1988, she got her breakthrough role in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder was able to continue her successful performances in various films. In 1993 she won an Oscar Award for The Age of Innocence.
